ABOUT IMPERATIVE SPACE

Imperative Space

Imperative Space is a multi-disciplinary media, education, communications, technology and innovation company working across the space sector. Our mission is to support the growth and impact of the sector, especially where it is helping to address global challenges, sustainable development and the furthering of human knowledge.

We have worked on projects in Earth Observation, Satcoms, Exploration, Human Spaceflight and Astronomy. Our work ranges across film and multi-media projects, large-scale education and training initiatives, online courses, data visualisation, apps and data platforms, interactive hardware, technical consultancy, strategic communications, design and research. We also support and initiate collaborative projects in the arts, particularly in relation to Earth observation data and climate change.

The company is based in the UK and Italy, and is overseen by founder and managing director Ravi Kapur. Alongside our core team, we have a wider network of expert associates distributed around the world, providing specialist capabilities in a wide range of space science, technology, education and communications areas.

Our diverse client base has included space agencies, multilateral organisations, large corporates, start-ups, local authorities, NGOs, media companies and educational organisations, including ESA, UK Space Agency, Google, Space Adventures, EUMETSAT, ECMWF, European Commission, Copernicus, WWF, EarthX, RAL Space, International Space University, Deimos UK, Space News and many others.

(We are currently developing a full archive of past projects, but in the interim additional information can be found at our legacy website here: legacy.imperative.space).
